Business Analyst

As a Barclays Business Analyst, you will be a part the Market Data Financial Management (MDFM) global team and contribute to the delivery of a portfolio of complex projects to help achieve the long-term strategy. You will engage with colleagues and Business stakeholders to define use cases, understand requirements, and analyse data to produce insights. Additionally, you will develop and track business cases for opportunities for cost saves and business improvements, and work with various teams to coordinate and drive results.

What will you be doing?
- Contributing to the delivery of a portfolio of complex projects within the Market Data Financial Management domain to help achieve long-term strategy
- Being responsible for interface with stakeholders to understand business requirements, understand use-cases, challenges, gaps, and dependencies, and performing analysis
- Identifying opportunities for optimization and present recommendations to stakeholders
- Understanding end-to-end project lifecycle and work with project team, contributing to working groups, project documentation, status reports and stakeholder engagements
- Providing detailed analysis, present options and make recommendations to stakeholders to gain buy in
- Contributing to Market Data strategic initiatives from inception to completion working with the programme team and business stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- Business Analysis experience within the Financial Services industry
- Experience with End-to-End project management lifecycle and engaging stakeholders and navigating complex processes
- Excellent PC knowledge and understanding, particularly Excel, Outlook, Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Visio
- Proficient manipulating excels to produce metrics, pivot tables, charts, and comfortable interpreting data
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Experience with Market Data and/or Reference data vendors, products, technology, delivery methodologies
- Experience delivering or contributing to technology driven transformation projects/programmes
- Experience engaging with stakeholders and navigating complex processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
