Job Summary

The Head of Technology Operations is an exciting and challenging senior leadership position, responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day technology operations of the organization.

Job Description/Requirements

  • Technology Strategy: Developing and implementing a technology strategy aligned with the overall business strategy of the organization
  • Technology Infrastructure: Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's technology infrastructure, including networks, hardware, software, and other technology systems
  • Technical Support: Managing the technical support function of the organization, ensuring that technology-related issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner
  • Vendor Management: Managing relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring that services are delivered effectively and efficiently
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Developing and managing the technology operations budget, including resource allocation and forecasting
  • Team Management: Leading and managing a team of technology professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure that the team is effective and aligned with the organization's goals
  • IT Security: Ensuring the security of the organization's technology systems and data, including developing and implementing security policies and procedures, monitoring security threats and risks, and responding to security incidents
  • IT Governance: Work with subject matter experts to develop and implement IT governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and managing IT-related risks
  • Service Operations Management: IT Incident/Problem management, change management, Business Relationship Management, Service Monitoring
Requirements
  • 7+ years experience in similar leadership Tech Operation roles
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • Technical expertise: Extensive knowledge and experience in the latest IT technologies, systems, and processes including cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, database management
  • Leadership and management skills: A strong leader who can motivate and manage a team of technical professionals effectively; excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to delegate tasks and manage projects
  • Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the overall business goals of the organization; must be able to assess the organization's IT needs, identify potential risks and opportunities, and develop plans to improve performance and efficiency
  • Problem-solving skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
  • Industry certifications: ISO 2000 certification and ITIL (desirable)
