Description
We require a permanent, full-time, Roofers Assistant to work in our growing Roofing
business, in Auckland.
As a Roofers Assistant, you will assist our skilled roofers with various tasks related
to the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs. This is a physically demanding
job that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Assist with the loading and unloading of roofing materials and equipment.
Set up and maintain scaffolding and ladders as required.
Remove old roofing materials and debris from job sites.
Assist with the installation of roofing materials, such as shingles, tiles, or metal
sheets.
Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and tidy.
Follow safety protocols at all times.
Complete other duties as assigned by the Roofer or Supervisor.
Requirements:
At least 12 months experience working in a physically demanding role, in the
construction sector.
Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting.
Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.
Pay rate:
$30 to $32 per hour depending on experience.
Hours:
As this is a full-time position, you will be guaranteed a minimum 30 hours per week
but will likely be required to work approximately 35 to 40 hours per week.
Hours will be rostered, including on weekends depending on project requirements
and timeframes.
