About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Governance, the Coordinator Procurement is required to support business users and suppliers in the day-to-day application of procurement processes across Council. This role has a focus on maintaining and developing our purchasing, procurement, tendering and contract systems, in addition to ensuring cost-effective and efficient procurement services.

About you:

You are a competent professional (preferably tertiary qualified) with contemporary knowledge and experience in procurement purchasing, public tendering, contract and supply management processes is invaluable in this role.

Together with your natural affinity for innovation and penchant for continuous improvement, your ability to improve and transform current practices is underpinned with deep knowledge of public sector governance and legislation.

You are an exceptional communicator with a flair for negotiation and influence. Your written communication demonstrates complex critical thinking, synthesising information in a way which facilitates understanding and assists with decision making.

Your ability to engage and lead a team is second to none, and you are able to drive the achievement of outcomes. You have a strong commitment to role modelling the Council values of Sustainability, Integrity, Respect and Professionalism.

The physical location of this position is flexible across the Shire. Council offers an attractive, salary from $75,500 - $85,400 plus 10.5% superannuation. The position is Grade 13 in accordance with Council's Salary System and the Local Government (State) Award.
