Job Title: Floor Manager

Job Summary: The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of a designated floor within a retail or hospitality establishment. They ensure that the floor functions efficiently, employees are properly trained, and customer satisfaction is maximized.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of floor staff, including sales associates, customer service representatives, and other personnel.

Monitor daily operations to ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures.

Provide guidance and training to employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting exceptional customer service.

Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring effective utilization of staff and resources.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to drive sales and achieve targets.

Maintain a high level of product knowledge to assist customers and resolve any inquiries or issues promptly.

Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and implementing corrective measures when necessary.

Handle customer complaints and resolve escalated issues in a professional and timely manner.

Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, visual merchandising, and operations, to plan and execute sales promotions, events, and store layouts.

Conduct regular floor walkthroughs to assess cleanliness, organization, and adherence to visual merchandising standards.

Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to propose innovative ideas for enhancing the customer experience.

Prepare and submit reports on sales, employee performance, and other relevant metrics to the management team.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the retail or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, employees, and management.
  • Sound knowledge of sales techniques, customer service principles, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₦100,000.00 - ₦150,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abuja: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Restaurant: 3 years (Required)
