About the Role
Reporting to the Health Team Leader you will be responsible for the provision of Primary Health Services to assist and manage patients within Kohuora Auckland South Corrections Facility. As a Registered Nurse you will collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team to provide comprehensive nursing care for individual clients.

You are an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse who is committed to providing service excellence to everyone in your care. You are a compassionate and understanding individual with an understanding of working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and all walks of life. You’re a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exception moral values in everything that you do.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
Current Registered Nurse practicing certificate
Formal recognised Qualifications in Health
Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, negotiate and resolve conflict with those that may display challenging behaviours or come from ethnically and culturally diverse backgrounds
The ability to obtain necessary security clearance
Primary Health/Emergency Department experience
Understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi, its principles and related contemporary issues.

Serco opened Kohuora ASCF in Wiri, South Auckland in 2015, extending its portfolio in Asia Pacific. It is a state of the art facility, operated on behalf of the NZ Department of Corrections.
