We are looking for Support Engineer!

(Person should be physically based in Poland)

Location: Krakow (Partially remote with occasional visits to the office)


About Role:

In this project, you'll be working with various technologies to ensure smooth integration between different IT systems. The main responsibilities include providing support for any issues or tickets related to integration, analyzing and solving problems using available tools and documentation, and escalating more complex issues to higher-level support. The role also requires knowledge of Unix/Linux and SQL, preferably with experience in DB2 Database. Optional skills include familiarity with IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM Datastage or other ETL tools, and Websphere MQ. They value self-organization, reliability, and an open-minded attitude. Proficiency in English is required, and German language skills are considered a plus. The team is responsible for the entire integration process, from requirements to development and production, and they offer opportunities for learning and development within the team.


ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Germany integration team

  • offers stable, reliable, and flexible e-business and integration between internal and external IT systems, so that we can respond effectively and quickly to changing demands
  • offers integration based on near/real-time (EAI, API) interfacing and also batch-based (ETL) interfacing
  • offers to consult for solution engineering and design for new interfaces/integrations
  • provides 24/7 support for the integration platforms
  • works closely together with businesses to ensure quality solutions that fit best to the needs

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1st and 2nd level support tasks such as
  • first point of contact for problems. Contact is made either via a ticket system, by e-mail, or by telephone
  • analyze and, if possible, solve tickets and issues using error logging mechanisms, operating documentation, standard and tailored error handling tools, source code analytics
  • Dispatch tickets to 3rd-level support for further investigation
  • On-call duty, when you are secure in your new job

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE

  • Interested in integration technologies
  • Upper intermediate English
  • Self-Organization & Self Reliable
  • Open minded
  • Experience in IT support
  • Unix/ Linux knowledge
  • SQL (preferably DB2 Database)

OPTIONAL/NICE TO HAVE

  • German language skills
  • Knowledge in integration technologies (EAI / ETL)
